We, the Attention Homes Staff and At-Risk Youth we serve, appreciate and value every gift and giver!

To donate an item, please send/deliver to Attention Homes of Northwest Alabama, Inc. 1905 Bruin Dr, Florence AL 35630.

Essential Services and Donation Items:

  • Everyday/Daily Needed Items

    • Hygiene Products:​

      • Body wash, bar soap, lotion, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, (boys and girls) Dove bar soap, face cleanser/wash, Chapstick (no lip gloss), tampons, feminine pads​

    • Hair Equipment and Products

      • Shampoo and conditioner, African American hair products, brushed, and combs (boys and girls) Hair ties/scrunchies (girls)​

      • 2 Blow dryers

      • 2 Curling Irons

      • 2 Straighteners/Flat Irons

    • Cleaning

      • Laundry detergent (Hypoallergenic)​

      • House Cleaning Supplies: Bathroom/Kitchen Cleaner, Windex, Etc. 

    • Other

      • Educational Books and Videos (youth ages 10-18)​

      • School Supplies: pencils, pens, notebooks, highlighters, binders, folders, etc.

      • Board Games and Games: Sorry, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Jenga, Checkers, etc.

  • For our Office

    • 48-52 - inch TV for conference room/flex space for the youth and office staff for educational purposes​

    • 6-bean bags (vinyl/wipeable material) for youth when they are onsite at the office

    • Exterior signage for office

    • Large color copier/printer

  • For our Boy's Home

    • Loveseat and chair​

    • Queen bed, queen mattress set, nightstands, and dresser

    • Stover, refrigerator, microwave, etc. 

    • Outdoor patio furniture

    • Landscaping services: removal of falling tree limbs from recent storms, flower bed cleanup, removal of shrubs and old cement/rock

"Living at the Attention Home was a good experience for me. Kids who come to the home come from homes without structure and they come for many different reasons, whether it is because of bad parental choices, drugs, abuse, or they had got into trouble. For me, I had gotten into trouble. In 1983, I spent three months in the Boy's Home. It taught me both structure and how to work well with others. Mr. Freeman, the house parent at the time, spent time with us and took us fishing. We didn't have a lot of that before, so it taught us a different way of life. Of course I believe in the program. I have served on its board of members for three years and am currently serving as its Vice President. I am the owner and CEO of United Treating & Distribution where we are constantly searching for ways to give back to the community."
